General Information

For general information about the COLT/ICML/UAI conferences and for more travel and accommodation information see the Banff '04 web site.

Banff is the highest town in Canada, at an altitude of 1,383m, and is named after Banffshire, Scotland. Banff is located in Banff National Park, which is one of four adjoining mountain parks comprising more than 7,813 square miles of spectacular Canadian Rocky Mountain landscape. The average temperature in July is between 71F (22.1C) and 45F (7.4C) (click here for the current forecast).

The closest international airport is in Calgary, which is 80 miles from Banff. Delegates are responsible for managing their own travel to and from Banff, but as a convenience we have arranged a 20% discount on a shuttle service from the Calgary International Airport to Banff. Special hotel rates and room blocks are available for COLT, ICML and UAI, but are only guaranteed until April 30.

COLT'04 will be held at the Banff Park Lodge and Conference Center.
