General Information
The 18th annual conference on Learning Theory will be held at the University Residential Centre of Bertinoro, Italy.

Bertinoro (elevation 230m) is a small picturesque medieval hilltop town located in Emilia Romagna, about 50km east of Bologna (see map / interactive maps).

The conference will be held in a redoubtable ex-Episcopal fortress that occupies the central peak of Bertinoro. The fortress has been converted by the University of Bologna into a modern conference center.

Winding around this central peak are many narrow streets and walkways. On the the edge of the peak are many nice cafes and restaurants with an amazing view that stretches from the Tuscan Apennines to the Adriatic coast.

The conference center includes lecture halls, a restaurant, and rooms to accomodate the participants (standard equivalent to a three-star hotel).
Downtown hotels and restaurants are also available at walking distance from the fortress.

Bertinoro itself is close to many gorgeous Italian locations such as Ravenna and Urbino, treasure-troves of byzantine art and history, and the Republic of San Marino (all within 35km). Bertinoro can also be a base for visiting some of the better-known Italian cities such as Padua, Ferrara, Vicenza, Venice, Florence and Siena.
